Thai food lovers, rejoice! Sanook Kitchen is a fairly new outlet opened at Sengkang Grand Mall just above Buangkok MRT station (Exit A). Just opposite (Exit B) we have another new Thai restaurant as well, called Thai Palace but that store is focused on pork dishes while this one is halal.
Sanook Kitchen is a spacious and comfortable place to enjoy a variety of Thai dishes with your family or friends. The service is prompt and friendly, and you order by scanning a QR code with your phone. We visited on a Sunday lunch and there was no queue and got seated right away with a baby high chair.
I visited Sanook Kitchen with my family and we ordered three dishes: pad thai (2 plates), sambal kangkung and tom yum fried rice. The pad thai was delicious and had a good balance of sweet, sour and savoury flavours. The sambal kangkung was crunchy and spicy, and went well with our dishes. The tom yum fried rice was average, as it was quite oily and lacked the strong tom yum flavour.
Cold water is free flow at the counter.
Sanook Kitchen also offers a 2 different set meals for 2 pax at $32.90++ and $43.80++ respectively.
