Kenny Rogers Roasters at Sengkang Grand Mall Review (Halal)

Our baby woke up from her nap at 12pm and we decided to go for a quick meal with minimal queue so we found ourselves dining at Kenny Rogers Roasters - a name that resonates with fond memories of dining experiences in Malaysia. As a child, I remember being a fan of rotisserie-roasted chicken, complemented by an array of hot and cold side dishes along with their muffin. Although Kenny Rogers Roasters is quite common in Malaysia, it is not very common in Singapore, so I was surprised to find it in this mall. Let's dive into my dining experience and review some of the dishes I tried.

The Ambience:

As I walked into Kenny Rogers Roasters at Sengkang Grand Mall, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's casual and family-friendly setting made it a perfect spot for a relaxed lunch. Despite being a Sunday, the lack of a queue meant I didn't have to wait long to be seated, which was a pleasant surprise.

THE MENU

The Main Attraction: Rotisserie-Roasted Chicken

Kenny Rogers Roasters is famous for its rotisserie-roasted chicken, and rightfully so. Opting for the quarter chicken, I decided to add an extra dollar to enjoy the flavorful thigh cut. The chicken, having been slow-roasted for hours, was exceptionally tender, even the breast meat. The succulent and juicy meat, infused with delightful herbs and spices, left me with no doubt as to why this dish is the star of their menu. Served alongside a medley of hot and cold side dishes, this was a complete and satisfying meal.

Side Dishes and Muffin:

The variety of side dishes offered by Kenny Rogers Roasters adds to the overall charm of the dining experience. From classic mashed potatoes to tangy coleslaw and hearty macaroni and cheese, there was something for every palate. This is pretty similar to Astons but potato wedges is missing. Onion rings and Mac & Cheese are my go-to side dishes.

However, the their muffin was a bit disappointing as it felt quite dry. I had to add some black pepper sauce to my muffin to finish it.

Sirloin Steak:

While the rotisserie-roasted chicken takes center stage, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their sirloin steak. Opting for a medium-well doneness, I was rewarded with a juicy and tender piece of meat with a delightful charred crisp on the outside. Though not their main focus, this dish demonstrated their dedication to providing well-rounded options for diverse tastes.

Nasi Lemak and Pasta:

For those looking to explore beyond the signature chicken dishes, Kenny Rogers Roasters also offers nasi lemak and pasta as main menu items. Though not their specialty, I couldn't resist trying a bit of both. The nasi lemak, a beloved Malaysian classic, was fragrant and came with a tantalizing array of condiments. The pasta, cooked to perfection, was rich and creamy, showcasing the restaurant's versatility in preparing diverse dishes.

Service and Overall Experience:

The service at Kenny Rogers Roasters was prompt and attentive. The staff ensured that my food arrived quickly and catered to my baby's needs throughout the meal. The friendly and hospitable ambiance added to the overall satisfaction of the dining experience.

Conclusion:

My visit to Kenny Rogers Roasters at Sengkang Grand Mall was an absolute delight. The chance to savor the much-loved rotisserie-roasted chicken, complemented by a delightful variety of side dishes made my Sunday lunch a filling and pleasant experience.

If you find yourself at Sengkang Grand Mall or come across a Kenny Rogers Roasters outlet, it might be worth indulging in their succulent rotisserie-roasted chicken and exploring their diverse menu.
