Sembawang White Beehoon - White Restaurant (You Huak)
If you've never tried Singapore's white beehoon, you've been missing out on this simple yet amazingly tantalizing dish. I don't recall eating something like this in KL, so when I visited this restaurant for the first time in Sembawang (opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre) with the long queue I wondered what the hype was all about.
What really gives it the extra oomph is their chilli sauce that goes along oh so well with the delicious beehoon.
Top favourite dishes here:
1. White beehoon
2. Sambal Kangkung
3. Prawn paste chicken
They have outlets too in Punggol, Sun Plaza and Toa Payoh.
Price: 7/10 (not so cheap, average $10 per person)
Service: 7/10 (they are quite fast moving despite the long queue)
Food: 9/10 (my all time favourite in Sembawang)
Overall rating: 8/10 (must try if you have not yet done so!)
